Rockbox USA launches national DOOH network across independent music venues in the U.S.

New York – October 12, 2026 – Rockbox USA this week officially launches into the U.S. out-of-home market, with plans to build a national digital screen network across the country’s independent music venues.

A member of the DPAA , Rockbox USA is marking its industry launch at the DPAA Summit in New York on October 13th and will scale over the coming months to 600 digital screens across 150 independent live music venues in 20 U.S. cities.

Founded by Paul Carr , Rockbox USA builds on three decades of experience and success with the RockBox Advertising model in the UK. Its expansion into the U.S. is a natural progression between two countries with a shared passion for live music and a rich grassroots music culture.

Rockbox USA will focus on independent clubs, music halls and locally owned venues rather than arenas, stadiums and large corporate entertainment venues – creating a national #OOH platform with a traditionally fragmented part of the U.S. live music market.

Paul Carr, Founder of Rockbox USA, said:

“The UK and the U.S. share an incredible passion for live music. We’ve seen through our experience in the UK how powerful these environments can be for advertisers, so bringing Rockbox USA to the U.S. is a natural progression. Our ambition is to build the leading media opportunity for brands to connect with live music culture in the U.S. – creating value for advertisers while supporting the independent venues where music culture starts.”

Rockbox USA is building its U.S. network in partnership with Marauder, the New York-based music marketing agency with deep relationships across America’s  independent music Communities.

Rev. Moose , Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Marauder and Founding and Emeritus Executive Director of The National Independent Venue Association (NIVA) said:

“Independent venues are where artists grow, communities form and culture starts. Historically, fans in these rooms have been out of reach to national advertisers.

“Rockbox USA brings venues and advertisers together while preserving what makes them special – giving brands an authentic way to support independent music while creating an important new revenue opportunity for the venues themselves.”

Barry Frey , President & CEO of DPAA, said:

“We’re excited to welcome Rockbox USA to the U.S. OOH industry. The investment they are making to build a significant new digital network demonstrates real confidence in the continued growth and innovation of the sector.

“Live music venues offer a highly engaging and culturally relevant environment for brands, and Rockbox USA is bringing an exciting new opportunity to advertisers at meaningful scale. We look forward to supporting Paul and the team as they launch and grow the business in the U.S.”

The Broadsign out-of-home (OOH) advertising platform will power content and ad serving operations across Rockbox USA’s network. With the technology in place, its team can centrally manage content and advertising across hundreds of in-venue displays and tap into direct and programmatic monetization opportunities at scale."

Vito De Filippis De Filippis, Regional VP, Platform Sales, Broadsign North America adds:-

- “Rockbox USA is building a highly attractive in-venue display network at a time when demand for In Real Life advertising is growing rapidly. The network not only connects advertisers to engaged live music audiences across hundreds of independent music venues, but also unlocks a new revenue stream for their owners. A rollout of this scale requires operational flexibility and enterprise-grade infrastructure, which Broadsign is proud to support with its technology
